The InterLAN delegation took part in the conference dedicated to GDPR, the NIS Directive and the future cyber security law: practical implications of IT security, organized by RomsymData where discussions were carried out about the impact of the law on companies and government institutions collecting/processing personal data and both solutions and live demonstrations were presented.
The InterLAN delegation took part in the “Fortinet Security Day” conference, at the Intercontinental Hotel. During the conference, the newest Fortinet technologies, the strategies and initiatives of the company for the next period were presented.
InterLAN continues national expansion. Starting with 1 May 2016 InterLAN inaugurated a new POP in Krakow. Currently, the largest Internet Exchange in Romania, InterLAN Internet Exchange, owns 7 national and international POPs.
The InterLAN Association took part in the 28th Euro-IX Forum, organized in Luxembourg, The Grand Duchy of Luxembourg between 24 and 26 April 2016. This year’s forum had a record of 122 participants, representing 56 organizations (including 42 IXP-uri in 30 countries).
Between 19 and 20 April 2016, the delegation of the Interlan Association took part in the “RIPE SEE 5” reunion in Tirana, Albania. The objectives of this reunion were: to encourage cooperation between operators while identifying, discussing and solving issues specific to companies activating in the region, to support the new Local Internet (LIRs) registries and to present the most recent evolutions in the Internet industry.
The Interlan Association took part in the technological seminar “Security tests, visibility in networks insurance for reducing the attack surface” at the Center for Innovation in Cyber Security, an event organized by CERT-RO in collaboration with the IXIA company.
The Interlan Association took part in the technological seminar “Check Point technologies for preventing Zero-Day type threats and solutions to protect information for mobile devices” at the Center for Innovation in Cyber Security, an event organized by CERT-RO in collaboration with the Checkpoint company.
The Interlan Association took part in the technological seminar “Automated solutions to prevent network cyber attacks”, an event organized by CERT-RO in collaboration with GO2MARKETS.
AFOR organized the “Fiber Optic Day” conference, which was attended by the representatives of the Interlan Association.
Between 29 February – 1 March 2016, the delegation of the Interlan Association took part in the “PLNOG 16” conference, an event organized in Warshaw, Poland. Interlan delegates had the possibility of meeting representatives of important companies in the Telecommunications industry in the EEA where they discussed about creating, moderating, maintaining communications networks and investments in developing technologies.
